How to Care for Vivid's 24K Goniopora Coral: (written by Dave Burr) Vivid's 24K Goniopora Coral (aka Flowerpot Coral) will bring a burst of color and movement to any reef aquarium. They can sting nearby corals so leave a few inches between Gonioporas and other corals. Clownfish will often host Flowerpot Corals if there is no Anemone available. Flowerpot Corals make a good choice for reefs that house Angelfish since Angels rarely bother this species. Placement: Mount the 24K Goniopora Coral using IC gel glue, or putty, on an exposed rock or ledge in the lower two- thirds of the aquarium where they will receive moderate currents and low to moderate lighting. Leave 2-3" around this coral as it has tentacles that can sting nearby corals at night. Feeding: Although symbiotic algae called zooxanthellae hosted within them supply most of their nutritional requirements through photosynthesis they do benefit
